Hi, I'm Susan St. Martin.

Earlier in life I spent a great deal of time mountaineering. These trips took planning, preparation and focus. Marketing is a lot like mountain climbing.

When a group climbs Mount Everest they first have to put in a lot of effort to get to base camp and set up operations. From base camp they then start doing ascents to Camp 1 at a higher elevation. They spend some time at Camp 1 and then climb back down to base camp.

This can happen a number of times. The reason they don't just keep climbing higher is because they are acclimating. Acclimatization is the process of becoming accustomed to a new climate or to new conditions. This is necessary preparation so that climbers do not get altitude sickness which can end their climb altogether.

The next step is then to go to Camp 2. At this time the climbers stay at Camp 2 and spend some time and, depending on the weather and the condition of the climbers, they then proceed up the mountain to the next two camps. Camp 4 is the last camp before the group will summit.

This whole process can take up to a month. It takes time, preparation and patience.

When you embark on Facebook™ Ads for your business, it takes time, planning and patience.

It is not an overnight strategy.

The utilization of the ad pixel in your advertising is like the process of acclimatization. Your ad pixel takes time to get 'seasoned'. Your ad pixel not only tracks the actions taken on your website or funnel but it is also collects data for Facebook and allows it to get to know your business and its objectives for its platform.

Your ads then need to run for some time in order to collect the data needed in order to make decisions on what is and what is not working. This is like being at the upper camps on the mountain. The conditions need to be assessed using patience so that informed intelligent decisions can be made that move your business forward but don't sabotage your progress.

Then when your ads are optimized and running smoothly your business collects more leads which leads to more sales.

I would love to chat and see if we can go on this marketing expedition together to help move your business to get to the summit.
